hello everyone! I just wanted to share some highlights from this week with you guys and just a brief summary of what day to day looks like at Timion ministry.

MONDAY: In the morning the rain was coming down pretty hard, so they did not want us to work in the garden because we could get sick. So instead they sent us to the workshop where Jules and I got to sand all the small pieces to the equipment they make. My favorite part of this day was when Jules said, “I feel like an elf working in Santa’s workshop.” It really did feel like that.

TUESDAY: Tuesday morning we had to harvest because we weren’t able to on Monday. We harvested spinach, spring onions, basil, rosemary, sage, and chili peppers. The harvest goes to local orphanages or some of the villages. That day we got to go to the Orphanage for the first time and meet the kids! It was so cool to see what our labor was going into. The little kids were so precious and it made my day so so happy:)

WEDNESDAY: On Wednesday it felt like I was workin on the farm. We spread fresh hay all over the garden. When we first started working with them I was so confused why they used hay in the garden with all the plants. I asked and they told me it was because they wanted the plants to grow the way God designed them to. The hay is like “God’s blanket” covering them. It also is light and airy, but also holds the water to help keep the plants moist. We also pulled weeds and talked(our favorite thing).

THURSDAY: I got to work in the workshop. We started the day off with Bible study and read out of John 19. We had an in-depth conversation about the death and resurrection of Christ. What a great way to start the day off! I helped glue, tape, and cut the tape on transfer boards that help people transfer from their wheelchairs to a seat in a car. While I was working I got to talk to one of the Timion workers. Tomorrow is actually his last day with Timion so I was so grateful to get a chat in with him before he leaves. It’s been amazing to learn from the workers and also get to speak life into them.

That is all! I hope you enjoyed this little summary of what ministry has been looking like recently. I’ve enjoyed every second of working with Timion and I can’t believe I only have 3 more weeks with them.
