Hey y’all ! I am long overdue for an update for you guys! For a whole month I was in Gainesville, GA for training and it was amazing. God has shown up in many many ways. So, let me tell you about it!

Training camp was an immense growing experience for me spiritually and mentally. We had a session every single day over a different topic. For example, here are a few of the topics that were covered; honor, conviction and shame, vulnerability, miracles, cultural lenses, leadership tools, mental health, and forgiveness. A lot of these topics caused me to evaluate myself and where I am spiritually in those specific areas. Some of the things I evaluated are: We are to honor people because they mean everything to Christ. Conviction about what we do and condemnation for who we are. Vulnerability doesn’t equal weakness, it leads us to a genuine connection with the Father. All God needs is an ordinary day to do an extraordinary work. We want a Gospel that transcends a culture. Leadership comes from a place of knowing that we are broken and need help from God, but also leading people around you towards God. Unforgiveness is a poverty mindset about the grace of God.

That was just a little taste of what I gained from these sessions. I can not wait to carry these new tools out into the mission field with me and also instill them into the rest of my life. Thank you God! While I was at training camp for a month I learned so much about the character of God and how intimate he is. I remember one worship night we were singing a song about how God is so worthy of praise and I was so overwhelmed by how good God is I just started crying. I haven’t had that feeling during worship in such a long time. It was such a reassurance to me that even though I mess up all the time that God will always be there and He is consistent in my life. Psalm 150:6 says, “Let every living, breathing creature praise God! Hallelujah!” God deserves all our praise. Worshipping and praising God doesn’t just look like singing. We can worship God through His creation, the relationships we are blessed with, praying, reading about Him, and just sitting in the presence of God. I am currently learning how to rest in the presence of God. How do I just sit in the presence of God and open my ears and heart to him? I know I will learn how to do that while I am on this trip.

Training camp was such a blessing to me and made me realize that without all the comforts I have from home I can still have the God of love and understanding with me at all times. Thank you God for the amazing relationships I have made. Thank you God for the ability to listen and read your word. Thank you God for being a good and almighty even through the rough times.

BIG NEWS UPDATE!!! My squad and I found out we will not be going to Cambodia and Swaziland. I was devastated to hear this news at first, especially about Cambodia because I was most excited to go to that country. However, God changed my outlook on it and I know that God will work in any place that we go to. The two new countries we will be going to are South Africa and Romania. I am so excited to see what the Lord is going to do and how he is going to use us in mighty ways. If you have any more questions about that route change you can email me @ [email protected]

Thanks y’all for reading and also for praying for me during this season! I am so grateful for the support I have from all of you guys! Much Love, Grace:)

  2. Great update!
We pray often and are excited about your launch to Guatemala. May God continue to lead and guide your team in this next leg of ministry. I love you!

  3. Grace, thanks for the summaries of what y’all have been learning while in Gainesville. Sounds a bit like drinking water from a fire hydrant! That’s a lot to contemplate, study, chew on, digest, apply. Keep running to the Word as the foundation for all other knowledge. God’s Word will never fail, enduring forever. (Isa 40:8) It’s exciting to see Squad H now carry all you’ve learned and experienced thus far into ministry in Guatemala! Blessings as you settle in there!
